Faylinn is now 5 weeks pregnant and begins to get a nice belly. Attempts are made to capture this image, but just like Phoebe it is not as clear as when you see her in real life.
Before she went to stay with Banzai she weighed 3190 grams. Now she already weighs 3710 grams! Faylinn visibly enjoys her pregnancy. She walks jauntily through the house and she got us placing a fleece blanket on the windowsill so that she can lie above the heater. And still every night she brings us a toy mouse with which she like to play fetch! |

Faylinn has been staying out and brings us a fantastic Christmas gift! On Sunday November 29 we brought Faylinn to Cynthia and Michael where she has been very pleasant with Banzai. Within 3 hours, the first mating was a fact and that would not be the last! From that moment it was constantly crossing fingers and toes and hoping that she waspregnant. Luckily we had the kittens of Phoebe to distract us. Today she is 4 weeks pregnant and finely we managed to make a photo of her nipples. Look at how pink they are... If everything continues to go we expect the kittens of Faylinn around February 2, 2010. See Planned litters for more information. |

Saturday we were again early on the road to bring Apollo "Sjimmie 'to Ron and Erik. On arrival Sjimmie was not even out of the transport cage or Woepie (marbled Bengal) had already crept in! This all went without problems and Sjimmie went to investigate his new house with Woepie in his wake. The encounter with dog Willem was something exciting, but came along with some hissing and Sjimmie remained comfortably on the seat. Meanwhile, he gives Willem heads! Since we only have Chaos Athos live at home it was time for the Christmas tree to go up. And what is more fun than helping!

Last weekend Ares, Achilles Bambu, Phoenix Senang, Hermes and Heracles moved to their new staff. Saturday we went to Nathaniel and Anna to bring them their male Ares. It goes very well with Ares! "He has a great time and talks a lot." He continuously sleeps on Anna’s or Nathaniel’s lap and got the first night directly in bed. "Furthermore, he spins continuously. And even Ceira (Chartreux) seems fairly relaxed at." After we had 'left' Ares we drove to Karen and José to bring them Bambu and Senang. There the men got warm welcome (see photo)! Bambu went through the move perfectly, but Senang still needs some time to get used. "Bambu is a cuddle, comes from himself on your lab and has been researching the house." For Senang this is all still a little too much. Luckily he has his brother next to him to give him comfort. Sunday we went to Amber and Jan Willem to bring Hermes and Heracles. Hermes took it all beautifully and went directly to research. Heracles came occasional with me for some confirmations. He was also glad that he had his brother with him. Next weekend we bring Apollo to his new staff and Chaos Athos will remain with us for Christmas and New Year celebration. |

Yet a few days and then we bring the first kittens to their new staff. The thirteen weeks that we have enjoyed them very quickly passed. A rollercoaster of experience we are richer. We started with some theoretical knowledge and ended with a lot of practical experience. The birth was one to write home about. Phoebe did everything herself, and within three hours the seven wonders were born. But the first three and a half weeks were intense. Every two hours (including night) feeding all seven kittens. Finding an easy way to teach ourselves to make milk. Went to the vet to learn how to tube feeding kittens lives and save lives with it. See if it all would go well with the opening of the eyes and are all strands of the nail would fall neatly. The vaccinations have passed successfully because of the great weights of the kittens that we have achieved through the Carnibest. Fortunately the kittens ate at three and a half weeks of age directly Carnibest and we could stop feeding milk. The practical kitten run that Danny made helped by taking care that the kittens were litter proof within 2 days. Up to 6.5 weeks, we could keep them in there and then they started walking through the living room. All cables were stowed and under the seats we had it sealed. Each week we saw them grow bigger and more active. Playtime was a little longer each time and their powers increased. Fear was no issue; the discovery of the world had first priority. They become wonderful social kittens that already begin to purr when they look at you and when it is possible lie on your lap. For weeks, the new staffs of our kittens are looking forward to welcome them into their homes. We therefore doubt not that the kittens are looking forward to a wonderful future. Each kitten maintains its own page on our site. We hope that we now and then receive new pictures that will be added to the photo albums of the kittens so we can continue their development. We could not have wished for a better experience for our first litter! Click on the photos to enlarge. |
