Last week we got rid of the kitten run because Totem had discovered how he could jump over it. He is now free in the livingroom and runs loudly meowing at you every morning. Now he is loose in the living room he had very quickly discovered that his mother and sister use a completely different cat litter box than he. And a big guy as he is he is also using that litter box now. He can find it independently goes in it effortlessly. He loves to lie down along with Faylinn and Aurora in front of the fire or climbs on your lap as you sit at the dining table or if you're on the couch. It is a cuddle first class, but also finds it fun to play around!

Since last Friday, Totem is eating meat and that is going great! Once you put down the foodbowl he begins to eat and when he gets hungry while playing and he runs into the food bowl, he starts out himself. That he is now on solid food is also good to note on his weight. He grew 20 grams per day of milk (10 is normal), from the meat he comes on 40 grams per day! He now weighs 920 grams. That is the weight of a Maine Coon! Aurora, Faylinn and Totem are 12 feet on a belly. They sleep very often with the three of them in the basket in the delivery box. The two girls are fond of Totem and Totem loves to play! Fortunately, Aurora and Faylinn like this too, so he has no shortage of attention. He walks already a lot through the living room and when he is tired he looks for his mother or us and falls asleep in front of the stove or on our lap. If we are not home, he has the disposal to the delivery box and kitten run where Faylinn and Aurora can jump in and out. He can climb like a monkey and he starts to jump more often. Up is still pretty tough, but for example off the couch is going great.

Since Totem is 3.5 weeks old, we give him (almost) every day a bite of fresh meat and he looks to his mother what she does with it. Yesterday we caught him ‘digging in’ the meat, but today was finally the day that Totem tested the meat himself! After we put a bite in his mouth and placed him right in front of the bowl he actually began to eat! And of course that had to be filmed. ;-)
